Priyanka And Katrina's Lockers Sealed By IT Officers

Interesting news came out today after the IT raid at Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif’s premises. According to the IT officials, Priyanka owns nine posh flats in Mumbai alone.

Priyanka has bought five flats on the sixth floor of Raj Classic building at Yari Road, where she now lives.

She has combined three flats into one large apartment, which has almost all the modern amenities.

Officials also stumbled upon another apartment owned by her, which was also made by combining two separate flats in the same building.

Besides this, the actress also has a penthouse and three flats which have been rented out in the recent months.

According to a senior official, a team is also verifying whether Kaif remitted money to her parents living in London.

They are also checking records to find out how much money was earned through guest appearances on stage shows and whether she declared the income and paid taxes.

The IT officers, who raided Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif residences, sealed 12 lockers and documents relating to their various properties in the city.

Kamal Haasan To Rake Up A Controversial Issue

Kamal Haasan, in a recent interview, has said that he wanted to make a film on Babri Masjid demolition but refrained from doing so as it would attract controversy and protests.

This does not mean that the star backed-off in fear but simply did not want to rake up a controversial issue, say sources.

In fact, Kamal was working day and night and was deeply involved in the discussions to begin this film soon but finally has to put it in cold storage.

The Nominations For This Year’s Razzie Awards

The nominations for this year’s Razzie Awards have been revealed, and Megan Fox, Jennifer Aniston, Miley Cyrus and Kristen Stewart have all been nominated for the worst actress category.

Others who have been nominated for the worst actress category in the 31st Annual Golden Raspberry (Razzies) Awards are Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon, a daily reported.

Aniston, 41, was nominated for her role in ‘The Bounty Hunter’ and ‘The Switch’, Cyrus, 18, for ‘The Last Song’, Fox, 24, for ‘Jonah Hex’, and Stewart, 20, for ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’.

Parker, 45, Cattrall, 54, Davis, 45, and Nixon, 44, were nominated for their roles in ‘Sex and the City 2’.

Juhi Chawla And Manisha Koirala's First Film Together

Despite both of them being in the industry for 20 years, Onir’s I Am is Juhi Chawla and Manisha Koirala’s first film together. Describing the experience as "pleasantly refreshing", Chawla says, "Manisha is a very open-hearted person. In the past, we have never gone beyond exchanging pleasantries. We have never been on the same set at the same time. So to come together as friends on screen after all these years was wonderful."

Chawla claims to love all of Koirala’s films from Saudagar (1991), Khamoshi The Musical (1996) to Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995). During the shoot, she adds that they spent time walking around Srinagar and having conversations over tea. She says, "We mostly spoke about where our lives are now and what we plan to do in the future. Soon after the film, Manisha got married and I am very happy for her."

In Onir’s film, which consists of four short stories - Omar, Afia, Abhimanyu, and Megha, Chawla features in two. She says, "Each film is based on real-life stories with fear as the common theme."

On her character in Afia, Chawla says, "I play an affluent career woman who resists the idea of going back to Kashmir (her hometown) even for two days. She has not made peace with her past and has hurt and misgiving in her heart about Kashmir and its people. She is unable to forgive them for what happened to her family."

She adds, "As a child, she had to flee with her parents, live in refugee camps and then at relatives’ houses. Their dignity was lost and her uncle was burnt alive by people her family once considered friends," informs Chawla.

For someone who hadn’t travelled to Kashmir before, Chawla says, "When I went for the shoot, my immediate experience of Srinagar was that people are trying to lead normal lives despite the presence of armed forces all around the city. People want to be free, they want tourism back and yearn for peace."

Neetu Chandra Shocked The Nation With Her No-Panty Show

For Bollywood, any publicity is good publicity. After Yana Gupta shocked the nation with her ‘no-panty’ show, B-town chick Neetu Chandra has followed suit. Craving for publicity, the starlet recently did a Yana act and went commando to an event.

Given that after Yana became a nationwide sensation post her shady act, Neetu too decided to do the same. Sources state that Neetu’s act was “intentional and she might have followed Yana, after seeing what she achieved doing the same.”Apparently, Neetu’s publicist have denied the bold act of the actress and said, “Neetu Chandra is a girl with dignity and there has been no slip like this.”

Neetu’s publicist fumed at such uncalled reports and is planning to sue the root of this gossip, “Neetu does not need to resort to any such thing for publicity. In fact, she was planning to initiate legal action on the website and was in the process of approaching the National Commission of Women (NCW) in New Delhi, when the site tendered an unconditional apology for the news. So the matter stands closed.”

The season of Eid has worked wonders for Salman Khan. Both his last two blockbusters ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Wanted’ released around the holy season and it is expected that his next too will hit the screen at the same time. The actor is paired with Kareena Kapoor in the film, which will be directed by Siddique.

On being asked to Salman, if he feel the pressure to deliver a hit third time in a row? He said, “No, I don’t feel the pressure. In fact, I don’t want anyone including the actors, producer or director to feel any pressure. If a film has everything that the public wants in an entertaining movie, it will work, regardless of the weekend it opens in.”

‘Dabangg’ released during a relatively no-competition week. Is he planning the same for My Love Story? “That’s something that I didn’t decide. We set a date and stuck to it. Even this year, I’m not going to decide which other film or films will release with mine,” says Khan.

“In any case, the number of films we produce in a year, and release in a week doesn’t vary with a common man’s income. It will increase at its own pace. So he will watch only those films that promise him paisa vasool entertainment. If my film promises that to him, it will work — whether it comes from one, none or many films at the box office that week”, the actor added.

IPS Officers To Watch Movie No One Killed Jessica

Impressed by the recently released movie, `No one Killed Jessica`, a young IPS officer here took over 50 of his subordinates to watch the reel side of a real-life incident that happened in the national capital over a decade ago.

The IPS officer in question is Deputy Commissioner of Police Jaipur (South) Jose Mohan, who made it a point to take out at least one Investigating Officer from each of police station under his command, to watch the bollywood flick yesterday.

"I liked the movie and hence thought why not make my men watch it in an attempt to sensitise them further. It is nice to see a crime from the victim`s point of view," Mohan told PTI.Accompanying him were over 50 police officers including Additional SP Shankar Datt Sharma and Station House Officers.

The Rift Between Manisha Koirala And Her Husband

The rift between actress Manisha Koirala and her Nepali businessman husband Samrat Dahal has apparently deepened even further!

Reportedly it has been over two months that Manisha has not returned to her husband and she is even seriously thinking of her re-entry in Bollywood as a film maker after the failure of her first Nepali film.

"Manisha has no plans to be a housewife. In fact, she is looking at establishing herself as a film maker even down South.

So, it appears that Manisha will be flitting between Nepal and Mumbai for her work," a source said, adding that the actress has decided to give her troubled marriage a second chance after being advised by family and friends.

Manisha was recently spotted in Goa where her first Malayalam film Electra was screened, which she is keen to remake in Bollywood with a medium-sized budget.

Perfectionist Aamir Khan has taken a dig at Salman Khan once again. After having made indirect references to Sallu in Imran Khan starrer ‘Jaane Tu…’ song ‘Pappu can’t dance’, the talented actor has made a yet another sleazy reference to his flamboyant contemporary in his upcoming flick ‘Dhobi Ghat’.

Pratik Babbar, who plays one of the protagonists in the film sports Salman’s trademark bracelet. Moreover, he also portrays a character who is obsessed with body-building. This is not the first time where a character in Aamir’s film is shown wearing a bracelet identical with that of Salman. Even in ‘Peepli Live’, one of the characters is shown wearing it.

Nevertheless, Aamir is very fond of Salman and has great regards for him. While talking to a tabloid, a source revealed, “Aamir Khan loves Salman as a friend and his films are a proof of that. Many of Aamir’s films have some element of Salman Khan in them. And now, Pratik’s character in ‘Dhobi Ghat’ is shown to be a Salman Khan fan. Pratik is seen wearing the famous Salman Khan bracelet.”

Discussing Pratik’s character with the tabloid, the source added, “He (Pratik) loves working out to build a body like Salman’s and he wants to become an actor like him. Aamir insisted that the character be Salman’s fan probably to make up for having mocked him in Jaane Tu... in the Pappu can’t dance saala song.”

And Aamir’s wife Kiran Rao, who makes her directorial debut with the film said, “Yes, Aamir suggested Salman. Pratik’s character hails from a different city and is a part-time dhobi and a wannabe actor. He is into body-building and thinks Salman is a cool dude.”

Akshay Kumar Sharing Screen Space With Dimple Kapadia

`Patiala House`, Akshay Kumar`s first release of 2011 will see him sharing screen space with his real life mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia for the first time.Akshay plays a Sikh man based in the UK aspiring to represent the England cricket team as a pace bowler. Dimple plays Akshay`s mother in the film.

Director Nikhil Advani said, "The essence of Patiala House is pursuing your dream when life gives you a second chance. In this pursuit, Akshay happens to be a cricketer, but he could been a musician or a poet. It can be your story or mine. `Patiala House` is the story of the Kahlon family, and their travails."The movie which releases on February 11, is about a Sikh household comprising 22 members ruled by an autocratic Gurtej Singh Kahlon (Rishi Kapoor) in Southall.

"Its a house where the disparity in thought between the younger and older generation has reached a simmering point and mutiny, rebellion is round the corner. How a 34-year-old ex-cricketer who has been forced to sacrifice his dreams for his father`s ideals is given a second chance to see it getting fulfilled makes the story," sources close to the film said.

According to producers Mukesh Talreja and Bhushan Kumar, all cinegoers will be able to identify with the film as they have at some point got the experience of living in a joint family.Akshay is paired opposite Anushka Sharma in the film.

Katrina Kaif Is All Set To Play A Spiritual Woman

After all those latkas and jhatkas in ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’, Katrina Kaif is all set to play a spiritual woman in Prakash Jha’s ‘Satsang’.Apparently, after opting out of Jha’s ‘Aarakshan’, Katrina will play a pivotal role in ‘Satsang’, which exposes the multi-billion religion industry in India.

Buzz has it that after winning accolades in critically acclaimed ‘Raajneeti’, Katrina is quite serious about getting into non-glamorous roles.

However, Katrina’s role is so complex in ‘Satsang’ that even Jha was unsure about the actress.

Talking to a daily about her unique role, Katrina said, “It would be the most challenging part of my career so far”.

In ‘Satsang’, Katrina plays a semi-autobiographical character, based on the spiritual pursuit of a Western woman in Oriental spiritualism.

Indeed, this will be a departure from her glamorous image. It is believed that Katrina took the decision to do ‘Satsang’ after much brainstorming with Prakash Jha.

A Never Seen Before Side Of Shah Rukh Khan

Come January 2nd, you will witness a never seen before side of Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan on Karan Johar’s ‘Koffee With Karan’. Buzz has it that the one hour special show of ‘Koffe with Karan’, where SRK appears solo will be highly emotional. Apparently, Karan Johar broke down when his best friend Shah Rukh spoke at length about his former friends Farah Khan and Salman Khan.

Talking to a daily, a source from ‘Koffee With Karan’ said, “SRK`s episode with KJo is emotional where Shah Rukh has been caught in a mellow, introspective mood. He`s emotionally vulnerable, revealing things that have hurt him in the last year.”

The source continued, “When Karan pointed out that people feel that old friends Farah and Salman have a problem with Shah Rukh, he said: `I don`t know how to make friends and if I do, I don`t know how to keep them.... If Salman and Farah are upset with me it`s 100 per cent my fault but I can’t pick up the phone and say sorry.... I can’t apologise not because of ego but because I can’t just get myself to ask people to come back to me... I had asked my parents to come back and they didn’t...”

“King Khan spoke highly of his former friends. SRK spoke very honestly about Sallu and Farah. He admitted that the biggest problem in his life is his cell phone as many of his friends accuse him of not taking or ignoring their calls and messages.”

Karan was literally moved to tears when Shah Rukh said that he can’t continually tell people that he loves them.

“He says, `I feel it’s understood that I love them if I have told them once... I can’t keep repeating it... I have a problem saying `I love you` twice and thrice and keep repeating the words... Even in my films I can`t keep saying `I love you!”

“It was a totally different cup of coffee this time. It’s awkward to discuss and recreate such intimate scenes normally again. I have never become emotional on Koffee With Karan because that`s never been the tone of the show (it’s usually spicy and controversial).”

When enquired about SRK’s appearance on the show, Karan Johar said, “Shah Rukh is warm and heart felt as he naturally is. He has spoken on all his relationships, family and friendships. There`s certain strength in what he had to say. He is beyond any kind of issues. You feel he has risen above every situation and comes through beautifully on the show. This coffee on the couch episode with SRK was emotionally unplugged more than humour unplugged. It`s a new impact!”

The special episode featuring SRK and Karan will be aired on 2nd January 2011.

The latest news from the sets is that Lara Dutta and fianc © Mahesh Bhupathi have confessed to KJo that they plan to tie the knot in February next year.Says our source, "Lara and Hesh appeared on the show on Wednesday night. When the KWK host quizzed them about their relationship and romance, they spoke openly and even discussed marriage plans.

When Karan asked them outright about the marriage date, they promptly replied that it would be in February 2011 and that their families were in the process of fixing the date. Lara even told KJo how the tennis ace proposed to her in New York on Sept 12 this year."The couple even replied to queries regarding past relationships. Bhupathi was claimed to be the reason behind the actress dumping Dino Morea while some reports even said Lara was responsible for the divorce of Hesh and model Shwetha Jaishankar.

"They spoke candidly about their respective exes and cleared the air on how those relationships were over before theirs started," reveals our source.Dutta has been previously linked to model Kelly Dorje. She has been seeing Bhupathi for the last year, ever since the doubles specialist separated from his wife in ’09. Mahesh announced the engagement on his Twitter page. Saif And Kareena Upset With Buffoonish Cartoons

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor who have worked with Ajay Devgn before in various films are today hurt and upset with the actor for having portrayed them as buffoonish cartoons in his next, Toonpur Ka Superhero, directed by Kirit Khurana, which releases next week.

A source from Toonpur said, "In the film Ajay plays himself, a big star, who turns into a superhero for his son. There’s a scene where he’s shown shooting for his film Omkara (which also starred Saif and Kareena).

They are part of the scene but their characters have been portrayed in a comic manner.

Saif is seen sporting a tattoo of Kareena on his left forearm as he does in real life even though during Omkara Saif and Kareena were not dating each other and neither did Saif have any tattoo.

It was Ajay’s idea to incorporate some fun elements into the film and makeit topical."

The source said that Saif’s tattoo was spoofed in the film Golmaal 3.

"In Toonpur too Ajay’s character is seen making fun of Saif, his tattoo and his love for Kareena while Kareena’s character is a hot chick who is trying to seduce Ajay.

Saif’s character is seen sporting sidelocks and goatee, the look Saif had a few months ago." The source said these cartoons and their portrayal have upset Kareena and Saif.

"The couple were clueless about their caricatures as nobody had informed them about it.

But when someone who saw Toonpur last Wednesday told them about it they were shocked! Kareena and Ajay have worked together in the recently released super hit Golmaal 3 and Kareena had expected Ajay to tell her about it.

Even Saif, who considers Ajay a buddy and has worked with Toonpur producer Kumar Mangat Pathak in Omkara, is hurt that nobody bothered to tell him.

Akshay Kumar To Play The Role Of Dawood Ibrahim

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar will probably be paid a whopping amount of Rs 27 crore by the Balaji Telefilms production house next year.According to reports circulating in the media, this is the amount that has been demanded by the daredevil actor from Ekta Kapoor’s production house after he was approached to play the role of Dawood Ibrahim in the sequel to this year’s successful movie Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai.

The latest reports claim that Ekta Kapoor has requested Akshay Kumar to reconsider his fees because such a huge amount will make it difficult for the makers of the film to rake in any profits. But if reactions on the actor’s part are anything to go by, Akshay Kumar will not change his mind for Ekta Kapoor!

Shah Rukh Khan To Do Things With A Bang

Trust Bollywood ‘Badshah’ Shah Rukh Khan to do things with a bang. He is now ready to make his small screen comeback with “Zor Ka Jhatka” on Imagine TV, and claims he will beat all competition on television.

“I am the badshah of bedroom. Now people may say I am being vulgar, but the kind of entertainment I provide to my viewers enjoying in their bedrooms – no one else can,” Shah Rukh, in his trademark witty style, told reporters here Friday.

Looking dapper in a black suit and a white shirt, Shah Rukh spoke at the grand launch of the show, the Indian edition of internationally popular show “Wipeout”.

Shah Rukh will take 28 TV stars out of their comfort zone to battle out each other in an obstacle course set in Argentina.

The participants on the show include Akashdeep Saigal, Amit Sareen, Ashima Bhalla, Bakhtiyaar Irani, Claudia Ciesla, Debina Bonnerjee, Gaurav Chopraa, Jennifer Winget, Karishma Tanna, Kushal Punjabi, Narayani Shastri, Natasha Suri, Payal Rohatgi, Priyadarshani Singh, Raja Chaudhary, Rohit Verma, Simran Kaur Mundi among others.

They will be challenged by Shah Rukh to a series of hilarious tasks.

The prize money is worth Rs.1.5 crore, including a mega cash prize for the winner of the finale.

Known for his perfect comic timing and snazzy dialogues, Shah Rukh will add spunk to the show.

“I’m looking forward to being a super funny host-commentator. In fact, my children and I have watched the international version often and really loved it. I am sure to ‘Wipeout’ all your worries and make you have loads of fun,” said Shah Rukh, who earlier hosted shows like “Kaun Banega Crorepati” and “Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?”.

Sameer Nair, CEO of Turner General Entertainment Networks India Pvt. Ltd., says the show will be a hit among all age groups.

“Simply put, it is an outstanding entertainer…something that the whole family can watch together. The combination of a super star host, bizarrely challenging obstacles, enthusiastic and competitive contestants and a whole lot of bloopers will make this show a must watch, night after night,” said Nair.

The shooting will begin in Argentina in January.

I Am Enjoying My Space-Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma made a dazzling debut with Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and her next was also from the same stable. Now her third outing Band Baaja Baaraat too has been produced by them, but the actress clarifies she was never under a three-film contract with the studio.

There was never any three-film deal or contract with YRF that could have bound me in any which way," Anushka said.

"I signed (director Nikhil Advani’s Akshay Kumar-starrer) Patiala House outside of the Yash Raj banner before I signed Band Baaja Baaraat. But it’s just that this one is releasing before that," she added.

After making her debut opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008, the 22-year-old was next seen with Shahid Kapoor in Badmaash Company. Directed by Parmeet Sethi, it was produced by YRF.

The former model is now striking a hat-trick with Band Baaja Baaraat, releasing Dec 10. Directed by debutant Maneesh Sharma, it marks the launch of Ranveer Singh in the male lead.

Set in Delhi, the romantic comedy revolves around gala weddings and wedding planners.

"I play Shruti Kakkar. She is a girl from a middle-class family in Delhi. She is very ambitious, focused and hardworking. Her priorities are set in life. She is a very sorted girl, very straightforward and very enduring," said the actress, who refers to the movie as a "desi Date flick".

But playing the role was not easy for her.

"I had to learn to speak like a Delhiite. My diction had to be correct. I had to adapt a body language which is very easy going, open and casual just like the people there," said Anushka.

The actress, who made a mark with her girl-next-door looks, was also upbeat about her styling in the new venture.

"We tried to pick street fashion. So it was very basic girls-who-go-to-college-today dresses. Shruti is someone who does not care about her clothes. She doesn’t focus on styling. So in the whole film, I’ve worn T-shirts with jootis, kurtis with stoles, etc," she said.

Having already worked with A-listers like Shah Rukh, Shahid and Akshay, who is the next actor on her wishlist?

"I want to work with all the actors. I am very greedy. They are all so great," she said childishly.

As far as her Bollywood journey is concerned, she is satisfied.

"It has been very fulfilling because I am doing the kind of work that I want to do. I am not under any pressure to do anything. I do the films that I want to do. I have the right to say no or yes, so I am enjoying my space," she said.

Doesn’t she miss modelling?

"Now I only act. No modelling. Now I only want to be an actor," she declared.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has starred in Rituparno Ghosh’s ‘Chokher Bali’ and ‘Raincoat’ in the past and very naturally Rituda is one of her favorite directors. The film adaptation of the Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay novel may not be a bilingual as earlier reported, confirmed Rituparno Ghosh.

Dia Mirza Images In Maxim Magazine

Well, we know that you would have been swept off your floor with the title. Trust us, even we too were. But what swept were the angelic Di’s images in the recent edition of the Maxim magazine (for the uninitiated, Di happens to be the pet name of Dia Mirza)!

Dia looks super hot in this issue. And mind you, Dia is not new to the Maxim family, as this is the second time that she has been the ’Cover Girl’ of this mag.

And when asked about how she manages to give all the angels a marathon run for their hard-earned money, Dia says, "Eating healthy, working out and most importantly, surrounding myself with work and people that keep me in a positive frame of mind."
