At a time when celebrities are roped in to make blink-and-miss appearances at special ceremonies and ushered away to safety even before the culmination of the proceedings, Mani painted a picture of poise as he sat through an array of felicitations and entertainment programmes held at the valedictory function of a photography salon in the city.
Not just that, he gladly obliged for photographs with many of his fans after the event. No wonder, people call him a mani (gem in Tamil) in the true sense of the word.
